The 2045 Plan identifies current and future needs based on several factors. The plan is updated every five years to reflect the changing dynamics of the region. Projects must be included in the plan to receive federal funding. Central Florida is currently guided by the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan, which was adopted by the MetroPlan Orlando Board on June 11, 2014 and updated on December 9, 2015. The 2045 Plan will be adopted in December 2020.More Details
We want to involve as many Central Floridians as possible in creating a vision for our transportation system.
Planning for the future requires input from everyone. Through public involvement, we focus on reaching out to local communities and gathering feedback. Before the MetroPlan Orlando Board adopts the 2045 Plan, it will consider public input as well as recommendations from the region’s transportation planners.
You can ask a question or make a comment about the 2045 Plan at any time by email at MTP@MetroPlanOrlando.org or by mail at: MTP Outreach, MetroPlan Orlando, 250 S. Orange Ave., Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32801.
Community involvement is where our ideas and your ideas meet. As we develop the 2045 Plan, we are talking to lots of folks across the three-county region. See what they say about Central Florida transportation in 2045.
We are especially interested in reaching out to young people, because they will be carrying out this shared vision. We have plenty of outreach materials tailored to students, and we have been getting their ideas on what 2045 transportation should look like.Check Out Our Past Events
