Seminole County Public Schools Wins 2017 Clean Air Award

Seminole Transportation Services team and school board members accept the 2017 Clean Air Award from Seminole Commissioner Bob Dallari.

We presented the 2017 Clean Air Award to Seminole County Public Schools Transportation Services this week.

The district is systematically converting diesel buses to propane and realizing a carbon energy savings of 6.4 million pounds.

Seminole County Commissioner Bob Dallari, who chairs the MetroPlan Orlando Board presented the trophy at a Seminole school board meeting on May 9, where the Transportation Services team were congratulated by school board members. Then transportation representatives visited the MetroPlan Orlando Board meeting on May 10 to talk about their program.
