The Community Advisory Committee ensures the public has the opportunity to review and evaluate all proposed transportation plans and programs. About half the Community Advisory Committee members are appointed by local governments, and the other half by the MetroPlan Orlando Board. The committee membership includes multimodal transportation advocates, as well as representatives from under-served communities and business interests. This composition encourages diversity of many kinds, including geographic, demographic and modal.
When CAC vacancies arise and need to be filled, MetroPlan Orlando puts out a call for applications and interested Central Floridians are encouraged to apply. Join MetroPlan Orlando’s newsletter list by scrolling to the bottom of this page and entering your email address in the Sign Up for MetroPlan Orlando News box to receive notification of the next call for applications. Questions can be directed to Mary Ann Horne, community outreach strategist, at 407-481-5672 x305 or MHorne@MetroPlanOrlando.org.
