Please Review Our 2 Draft Public Participation Plans

You’re invited to read and comment on two draft plans for building public participation in all our transportation planning activities. We’re looking for comments by Sept. 10, 2019, and there are three ways to give us your feedback on either or both plans.

Our 2019 Public Participation Plan will guide public involvement for the next five years. This plan includes objectives, strategies, and measurement tools for MetroPlan Orlando’s public involvement program. This program provides a proactive approach to information and input in the planning process.

The participation plan for our 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan provides a roadmap to a comprehensive, inclusive process for public participation in creating MetroPlan Orlando’s 2045 Plan. It contains targeted objectives, various strategies and tools, and performance measures to ensure effectiveness.

Public comments can be submitted via email, our website contact form, or mailing to our office.

A 45-day public comment period is required for both public participation plans. The two draft participation plans will be presented to MetroPlan Orlando’s committees in August and will be presented to the MetroPlan Orlando Board, after incorporating feedback from the public and the advisory committee members. The board is expected to take action on the participation plans at its meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019, in the board room at the MetroPlan Orlando office.
