Survey Now Open: Share Your Opinions on Rock Springs Rd. & West Orange Trail Extension Recommendations

Are you interested in transportation in Apopka? Here’s your final chance to share your opinions on recommendations for the future of the Rock Springs Road area and extensions to the West Orange Trail. Take the survey by October 20 at bit.ly/RSRWOTSurvey3 (please note: this URL is case sensitive).
Recommendations Unveiled AT PUBLIC MEETING
On September 22, a hybrid public meeting was held to unveil the recommendations for:
- Rock Springs Road & Welch Road intersection
- Rock Springs Road from Welch Road to Lester Road
- Sandpiper Street & Park Avenue
- Extensions to the West Orange Trail along Rock Springs Road, Welch Road, and Ponkan Road.
Attendees participated in person and virtually to learn about the recommendations and ask questions of the study team during the live meeting.

What’s Next?
We’re nearing the completion of the Rock Springs Road and West Orange Trail Extension Studies. The study began in spring of 2021 and will conclude at the end of 2022. Once all public comments and feedback are in from the final community survey, the study team will consult with our partners at the City of Apopka and Orange County to refine the recommendations. Then the final report will be issued and the study will be complete.
