Participants Can Join and Comment Online at Meeting with Limited In-Person Attendance

The Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board (TDLCB) will conduct its annual public meeting on Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. The purpose of the annual public meeting is to get input on ACCESS LYNX paratransit service in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, meaning the public can join the in-person meeting virtually.

Comments from the public will be heard live during the meeting, both virtually and in-person. They also may be submitted in advance by email or phone message.

In order to safely accommodate all attendees and observe social distancing guidelines at the hybrid meeting, in-person access will be limited to staff, board/committee members, and members of the public wishing to make in-person public comments. That portion of the meeting will be held at the Embassy Suites Orlando – Downtown, San Juan I & II, 191 E. Pine St. Orlando, FL 32801.

Anyone wishing to attend in-person must RSVP on the MetroPlan Orlando website at least two business days before the meeting. (Please see safety protocols below for in-person attendees.) Seating is very limited and not guaranteed to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to attend virtually, if at all possible.

How to Comment

Anyone wishing to speak during the hybrid meeting (virtually or in person) should complete an electronic speaker card by 5 p.m. Nov. 11. The Chairperson will first recognize online attendees. When called upon, speakers should use the Raise Hand feature on the Zoom platform, and will then be invited to un-mute the microphone to speak. Each speaker should state his/her name and address for the record. Comments are limited to two minutes.

In-person speakers will be called next. Again, each speaker is limited to two minutes.

Public comments may be submitted in advance of the meeting, by email to Comment@MetroPlanOrlando.gov. Emailed comments will be read into the record by a meeting moderator. Comments also may be submitted before the meeting by dialing 407-536-9498 to leave a voice message. Voice messages will be summarized and read into the record by the meeting moderator.

In-Person Safety Protocols

For the in-person portion of the meeting, the following procedures will be followed:

  • Anybody attending in person is required to wear a mask at all times.
  • Social distancing will be strictly adhered to with a set room capacity.
  • Once room capacity is reached, members of the public will be asked to wait in a safe, socially distanced location until your name is called to address the board.
  • After comment is made, you will be asked to return to the waiting area.
  • Self parking is available on site.
  • Eligible ACCESS LYNX TD users should call 407-423-TRIP (8747) by Tuesday, Nov. 10 to reserve a free ride to and from the event.
